I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking a Chassis Project Engineer to join their team.

Job Description

As Chassis Project Engineer your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop and review designs from design engineers
  • Delivery of uprights, wishbones, anti-roll bars, bushing and front axle systems from early concept to production.
  • Supporting on systems and components and the release process
  • Supervise and coordinating the development of systems and components
  • Manage adherence to technical and safety requirements across components
  • Support Testing and supporting the resolution of issues identified during all stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Build support (prototype)
  • Supporting problem solving activities during virtual and physical builds
  • Estimate cost limits and budgets for new design
  • Creating presentation material for Design Reviews
  • Maintain and manage engineering records and designs.

Qualifications / Skills required

  • 5+ years of automotive design experience in Chassis systems as a project engineer
  • Aluminium casting experience
  • Low volume vehicle experience
  • Supplier interface experience
  • DVP, DFMEA and technical spec generation
  • Experience with push rods, wishbones, anti-roll bars, bushing and front axle systems.
  • Strong leadership of a team of high performance Design engineers.
  • Catia V5 literate
