Job Description

Your future team:

Join our Commissioning Team out in France where you will be working under the Commissioning Manager.

You will be joining one of three commissioning Teams working on a rota of 3 weeks on (located in France) and 1 week off. You will be responsible for providing “hands on” commissioning activities.

Your Missions:

🛠️ Deliver mechanical systems commissioning from design to end of active commissioning within budget, quality, time, and performance constraints.

📄 Prepare commissioning documents and safe systems of work for project scope, managing the approval process through the Testing & Commissioning Panel and facility work control approval processes.

📋 Ensure standards, procedures, and work instructions are adhered to for commissioning activities and test results are recorded accurately in the project electronic management system.

📅 Organize commissioning activities through meetings, tests, demonstrations, training events, and performance verifications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

🔧 Hands-on experience in commissioning with defect repair and maintenance, and ensuring the safety of mechanical systems.

🏭 Experienced in conducting factory acceptance testing with UK and international suppliers, and vetting, production, and approval of prescribed documentation.

📐 Understanding of Design Engineering, Construction, and Handover processes.

🚀 Able to perform initial operator duties during commissioning testing phases (i.e., Non-active and Active commissioning).

🛠️The ability to  Conduct all mechanical aspects of system commissioning, including experience with gas, fluid, vacuum, and mechanical handling equipment.

📜 Good understanding of HSAWA, CDM, and risk assessments.

⚙️ Understanding of Safety Functional Requirements and Safety Justifications.

📅 Minimum of 5 years of practical commissioning experience.

Additional Information

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance, and ideally DV. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national, 

Location:  CEA Valduc, France 3 weeks (onsite), 1 week leave.

Hours: Up to 50 hours per week
