Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school in the Hayes area who are seeking highly experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their SEN Unit. This school wants to build a better future for all pupils and staff by providing a safe, happy, and inclusive community that celebrates the efforts and achievement of every child and staff member. In November 2023 they received a good Ofsted report, they school is an Academy with over 600 pupils aged range 3-11 years old. Teachers who work within the school have strong knowledge of the curriculum and leaders of the school consider all staff workload when making changes to school policies and practice.

For this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be working with pupils with challenging behaviour. SEN Teaching Assistants need to be bubbly, energetic and enthusiastic to pupils needs and create a fun environment where all pupils feel safe to learn. You will need to support the class teacher with daily routines and creating resources needed for lessons.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

• Support with challenging behaviours
• Provided a fun safe learning environment
• Assist with personal care
• Observe and monitor pupils progress
• Create resources needed for lessons

The ideal candidate for a SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN - ASD, PMLD, SEMH, or ADHD
• Enhanced DBS on the update service - child work force only
• Right to work within the UK.
• Overseas criminal clearance
