JOB SUMMARY

• To provide support for the Head of Procurement to interface with stakeholders and deliver services as agreed to all Trusts within the Procurement Collaborative Portfolio. 
• To develop and implement methodologies to facilitate and monitor contracts. 
• Effectively manage the internal operations and resources to enable the delivery of the saving targets and work-plans
• To build professional relationships, implement change and support
• Enable Procurement to continuously improve the service delivered to stakeholders, enhance expertise and build capability and potential

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

• Experience of working in a Procurement team.
• Strong Mental Health procurement experience
• Experience of Procurement and Contract Management
• Experience of Microsoft Office or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
• Experience of negotiating complex contracts.
• Sound knowledge of contract management
• Knowledge of best practice in Procurement & supply

DESIRABLE

• Experience in Public Sector or NHS procurement
• Experience in using e-commerce platforms
• At least 2 years’ experience of managing staff
• Sound knowledge of contract Law
• Knowledge of Public Procurement tender   processes and procedures
• Minimum of 5 years’ procurement related management experience with demonstrable achievements.
• Experience of working within the NHS and an understanding of current issues.
• Procuring Professional Service /FM contracts

TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

ESSENTIAL

• Degree level or relevant equivalent experience

DESIRABLE

•             CIPS Level 4 Graduate Diploma or working towards
