As a Section Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and delivery of key sections of a large scale Infra project. This position requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage specific sections of the construction project, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Oversee the work of site engineers and subcontractors, providing guidance and technical support as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and risk assessments to identify and address any issues.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, method statements, and project documentation.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to construction best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment for your section of the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, resources used, and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Section Engineer or in a similar engineering role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, engineering principles, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including project management tools and MS Office.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ICE, CIOB) and CSCS card are desirable.
