£25 - £32/hour

This is a contract position, where you will have the opportunity to work in the field of highway inspection, ensuring the safety and quality of road networks.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of highways to identify any defects or maintenance requirements
  • Record and report on findings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repair work and ensure timely completion
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report any potential risks
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and recommend improvements to processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspections, findings, and actions taken


Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in highway inspection or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of highway infrastructure and maintenance practices
  • Understanding of relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and software
  • Full driving license
