Attendance Officer - Schools

Working with the local council we are looking for a Attendance Officer for a 6 Month contract with a view to extension beyond this.
Based out of Walsall Council
Location: Hybrid basis – home/school visits around Walsall Borough,
Work from Home 1 day a week
Duration of assignment: 12 months ongoing contract
Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 5.15pm with 1 hour unpaid break,
Friday's 8.45am - 4.45pm with 37 hours per week.
- To support the School Attendance Support Service with home visits to support attendance.
- To liaise with schools, professionals, and other agencies to address attendance concerns.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records in respect of casework.
- Contribute to the positive development and welfare of children and young people in Walsall.
- Presentation of CV will be taken into consideration by the manager also. All applicants must be committed and dedicates as the role is ongoing.
- Selection Process (e.g. Skills Test, Interview etc.) Driving Licence
- Access to own vehicle as travelling will be expected.
