About the school:

Simply Education is currently working in partnership with an alternative provision based in Chadderton looking for a Permanent Teacher to deliver Maths, English Science and other subjects similar to a Primary model. This setting provides bespoke learning opportunities for young people aged 11-16 with additional needs who have previously experienced trauma that has had a negative impact on their education.

The School:

The setting focuses on changing students’ mindset and giving them the tools to be successful in their future. The School has a gym, large industrial kitchen for food technology, Astroturf football pitch, a hair and beauty studio and other great facilities for vocational studies. Students have academic studies in the mornings and vocational studies in the afternoons.

The role:

We are looking for a Teacher to deliver all school subjects similar to a primary model to students working at a lower level including functional skills. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality bespoke Maths, English, Science, PSHE and other lessons to students in Year 7 to Year 11

Due to the nature of the role, QTS and prior experience teaching is essential. The ideal Teacher would be able to commit to a full-time role Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4pm as students receiving consistency is vital. 2 wellbeing days per year are provided as well as having your birthday off each year paid too!

Key Responsibilities for the Teacher:

- To deliver high-quality bespoke Maths, English, Science, PSHE and other lessons to students in Y7 to Y11.

- Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning.

- Model and promote high behaviour expectations.

- Communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them.

- To prepare the students for life beyond school.

Key Requirements:

- QTS or QTLS

- An understanding of working with disengaged students.
- Knowledge and experience teaching a Primary model.
- Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Driving license and access to own transport is essential
