Teaching Assistant Needed for SEMH School in Gainsborough!

Are you a compassionate and dedicated teaching assistant ready for an exciting challenge? Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour? Aspire People is seeking a resilient individual to join a supportive team in a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) school environment.

About the School: Our SeMH school caters to 50 incredible children aged 6-16, offering them a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. With dedicated staff members, including teachers and support staff, you'll be part of a dynamic team committed to making a difference in the lives of these students. Every child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring personalized support.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Competitive pay: £90-£95 per day
Start: September 2024

Your Role: As a teaching assistant, you'll work closely with a teacher and another teaching assistant in a class of 6 children who might be of different age but similar educational and development level. Your role is instrumental in providing individualized support, managing spontaneous, compulsive, and challenging behaviour, and facilitating learning activities.

Requirements:
* Ideally, you hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
* Previous experience working in UK schools is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with the UK curriculum is advantageous.
* Must be comfortable provide personal care thus carer background will be considered.
* Immediate availability for interviews for September Start.

Placement Details: This is a 12-week placement through our agency, with the opportunity for a full-time position with the school afterward. Additionally, the school will provide additional training to support your professional development and growth.
