Production Team Leader, Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Essential Recruitment are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join one of the leading manufacturers near Ashby. This role involves training, planning, assigning, directing work and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a role with opportunity to gain a permanent contract.

Pay Rate:

• £29,469.44 per annum rising to £30,470.44 once passed 3-month probation period.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Thursday, 8am – 4.30pm
• Friday, 6am – 1pm
• 1 hour break split into 2 x 30 minutes / 1 paid and 1 unpaid

Job Role:

• Report to the Production Manager.
• Prepare the floor for daily production.
• Review production set-ups for accuracy and quality requirements.
• Monitor daily production.
• Ensure all employees follow health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in health & safety or quality investigations.
• Perform stock takes.
• Ensure document control is being completed properly.
• Communicate with other departments.
• Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing process.
• Must have some basic understanding of Outlook, Teams and Excel (Full training on internal ERP system will be provided.

Skills Required:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately
• Experience in a manufacturing environment in refractory, concreate or cement is an advantage but not essential
• Implementing tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the Organisations Core Values
• Must be able to drive due to the location
• Must be okay working is dusty environment due to nature of business
