Salary: £140-£220 (based on experience)

Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher looking to make a significant impact in the lives of students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? Our client school in Waltham Forest is seeking an exceptional PMLD Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to the needs of students with PMLD.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and external professionals.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and support their learning and development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the well-being and progress of each student.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with PMLD in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges and strategies for teaching students with PMLD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of education and care for students with complex needs.
