About the Role: Tradewind is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a well-respected primary SEN school in Wirral. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programs.
• Assist students with their daily activities and educational tasks.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Promote the social and emotional development of students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
