This is an opportunity for a SEN TA with experience working with children with special needs as the position is a long-term contract for the Autumn Term so the school are looking for someone to slot straight into the team. Training specific to the school will be offered at the start of term.

The school is for children with Epilepsy and Complex Neurological Conditions. Experience/an understanding of these diagnoses is desirable but not essential.

What you'll do as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special needs
  • Implement tailored learning plans and adapted teaching materials
  • Foster and nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents
  • There may be some personal care

What you need to be a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapting to student needs
  • Experience with special educational needs

Information on the Special Needs Teaching Assistant role:

Location- Lingfield, Surrey

Pay- £85-100 per day. This is equivalent to £425-£500 per week Full-Time. Day rate is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Hours- 8.30am- 3.30pm Monday-Friday. Full-Time and Part-Time roles available.

Contract- Short-term, long-term, and permanent roles available.

Year- Key Stages 1-4 (Years 1-11, age 5-16). Some roles available in Key Stage 5 (Years 12-14, age 16-19).

Qualifications- GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Level 5 and above.
