Ridgeway & Co are actively recruiting a Site Engineer on behalf of a leading Civils contractor for a 4 month contract in Liverpool. Experience in using AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modelling is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting Out: Manage setting out at various build stages, including foundations, earthworks, façade, and internal layouts.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify subcontractors' work, maintaining a daily log of progress for each subcontractor.
• Project Management: Oversee all construction phases from substructure to superstructure, including landscaping.
• Communication: Attend weekly management meetings and coordinate with Site Clerks, Quantity Surveyors, and Health Safety Officers.
• Instrument Proficiency: Utilize EDM, rotating laser levels, and other instruments for as-built surveys, QA, and snagging.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient with construction management software, particularly Procore, and adept with tablets/android devices for on-site QA recording.
• IT Skills: Competent with Microsoft Office, emails, and other software programs.
• Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of design, drawings, details, and specifications.
• Construction Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of substructure, drainage, and utilities.
• Progress Monitoring: Prepare for daily and weekly progress meetings, providing updates on work status and identifying any delays.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years as a Site Engineer.
• Education: Engineering Degree/Diploma or related qualification.
• Software Skills: Confident with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
